HAPPY NEW YEAR, WOOHOO!

Meditation For Life Workshop yesterday was truly fabulous, Thank you soooooo much to Carole and Mike! We learned so much about reading our aura and clearing out our mental closet. I have to admit, the studio felt so weird without the heat but we enjoyed each other and all of our new opportunities for a beautiful 2010!

P.S. I'm going to go have a glass of wine and toast all of you; the wonderful community we have built from the ground up, a continued supply of support, and the beauty we create each time we come back to our mats for group yoga at Purple Moon! Thank you :)


We enjoyed a lovely authentic Fire Pot Chinese Dinner last night at Tony and Ping's house; the food was truly amazing! We made new friends with some incredible people and our hosts were truly fabulous as usual; Thank you so much for your warm hospitality and true friendship!

  If you are lucky enough to be graced with one of our December Over-The-Mooners in class, please give them a pat on the back or some kind words for a job well done!

Christmas is around the corner and I'm only half done with my shopping; kinda starting to panic people. Anyway, we will be closed Christmas Day and only the 9am class will be open Christmas Eve; everything else will remain the same. So, if you want to get your yoga in I will be doing a special Christmas Eve Hot Passion class December 24th at 9am, WooHoo!

  I need some feedback on a Wednesday 6:15 am Hot Power class with our one and only Steve Dobson that I'm starting in January; If we can get a good base of people interested that would be fantastic. Also, Meditation Class with our very own Carole Gan is coming to bring in the New Year sometime on the weekends; E-mail me with times you think would be best, Thanks :)

 After the holidays, we all need to start thinking about doing my Body Restoration Cleanse and completing the 30 Day Challenge. Anyway, I guess this is your newsletter this month cuz December is going by way too fast and I truly need to get my butt in gear!

By the way, Thanksgiving Shakti Flow was an amazing experience; Thank you to everyone that came and shared their beautiful positive energy on such a special day! I truly hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving Day sharing and expressing greatfulness to your beloved families and friends! There is true beauty everywhere you look if you soften your heart to the outside world. We are all on this planet together, we are all the same, and we are all equal on the same journey and our own. When we choose to join hands to help and support eachother life becomes both abundant and fruitful. Allow this beauty to be born in your life and you will see your heart open up to many new opportunities!

We are proud to announce The Press Tribune awarded us the Best of the Best Yoga Studio in Roseville and Granite Bay last night at the Winner's Awards Party! It was held at Orchid Suites, it was completely fabulous and we are truly honored! They did a beautiful job, the food was delicious and the wine was superb, Thank you Press Tribune! Most of all, Thanks to all of you from the bottom of our hearts for all your votes and all of your continued support; We couldn't have done it without you and we are so grateful!

Thank You to Costco for inviting me to host Health Week last Wednesday! I truly had a fabulous time speaking to your employees, doing demonstrations, and answering questions!

Thank You to The Roseville Press Tribune for awarding us with The Best of The Best Yoga Facility in Roseville and Granite Bay for 2009! We are truly humbled by this honor!

Thank You to Palmer Signs for creating such a divine masterpiece on the back window of my car! Your creative talent is truly phenomenal and inspiring!

Last, but definitely not least, Thank You to Shelley Alvarez for crafting me such a beautiful necklace and surprising me with it at class Saturday! Congratulations for getting your mobility back; we all celebrate you being able to enjoy your wonderful hobby again. You are a truly talented woman and you have become such an endearing friend!




Life is good, the State Fair was a blast and I hope all of you
enjoyed the long weekend as well! We went on Saturday, the weather was perfect, the food was fabulous, and the wine was divine! Thank you soooo much Ted and Mike!

Sunday was a huge success, every drop of the 2008 wine was bottled and corked and all the 2009 must was pressed and transferred into the oak barrel with pure finesse. Thank you to our  awesome son Brandon for corking all those bottles, thank you so much Tony for helping all day and into the night and thank you to Ping for really getting in there and getting her hands dirty Sunday night!
Thanks also to my parents for being part of the process and sharing the beauty of wine making with my family and friends! Monday we enjoyed each other's charming company, rested all day, spent time with the kids, and reflected on a truly phenomenal weekend!

Thank you so much Tony for showing us such a fantastic time last Friday night at that charming Tuscan Style winery; the food was great, the wine was awesome, and the company was phenomenal! 


When you come to class, remember that yoga is noncompetitive and you move at your own pace, always.
Listen to your body and rest when you need to; life is full of challenges and yoga teaches you the yogic way to react to challenges and carry this gift into your everyday life. It is important not to force your body too deeply into poses too soon and be happy with the modified versions at first, focusing more intently on your alignment and balance. If you have any questions, call anytime!

It's been really hot outside and I'm so proud of all of you for being so dedicated to your practice and deciding to come to class anyway! I encourage those of you that have been with us for a while to think about committing to the 30 DAY CHALLENGE; It will truly change the way you view life, your peers, your job, & essentially the bigger picture. I'm enjoying all the new friend's I've made through this whole process & I truly thank you for your warm hearts and encouraging words!


We have some great people to thank from the bottom of our hearts! First and foremost, we want to thank our brilliant PR and beautiful daughter, Krystal; Thank you, thank you, thank you to our awesome family for their abundant supply of moral support, undying patience and unconditional love.  We are eternally grateful to our friends at Burning Lotus Hot Yoga in Carmichael. They have become our extended family over the last several months and have given us the utmost support during our blooming process. Personal thanks to Danielle, owner of B Lotus, for allowing us to use her space for interviews when our space was still under construction & for her constant encouraging support and good karma. Also, thanks a million to our 12 Tibetan loving friend & teacher Steve, we love you big guy! Harmonious thanks also to Teresa, the most pure hearted yogini you will ever come across, thank you for always making us feel like family; Stuart, a truly amazing Bhakti teacher overflowing with wonderful knowledge, & the warmest couple you will ever meet, John and Beth, your passion for yoga is truly transcending! Check out Burning Lotus Yoga, their beautiful studio, & their warm energetic teacher presence! They are located on the corner of San Jaun & Fair Oaks in San Jaun Center at 9045 Fair Oaks Blvd. Suite E, we love all of you so much, MWAH! Purple Moon would also not be possible without Moose and his buddy Cory who built our walls, electrical and also installed our gorgeous floors inside the studio.
Moose was always there to help me talk to the inspectors and Cory has such a big heart! Thanks to Joseph, our architect for doing all the drawings and helping us tremendously in acquiring our permits! We still need to have that glass of French wine Joseph, so don't think I forgot. We need to thank Jason for installing the floors in our lobby, change rooms, break room, bathrooms, and laundry room. They turned out beyond beautiful and that's not saying enough! Thanks to Steve for all his hard work on our heating system, eventually we'll get you to come to class! Last but not least, thanks to Javier for the demo & Raul for painting the ceilings. I want to dedicate a special thanks and single out one person, besides my husband, that I hold the deepest gratitude for in my journey, and that is my teacher and dear friend, Ping! Since we met, you have been my inspiration and my refuge through trying times & I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Without your support, Purple Moon would not be possible and I am truly honored to know you!!!
